Our courses are based upon the belief that within us all, is a rich tapestry of emotion, intellect, and life experience.

Have you had the desire to study theatre but thought ‘hey I’m not like other performers, I’m different, I want something new and exciting that’s tailored just for me”?

Well, at ACOPA we have what you have been looking for.

Our STAGE AND SCREEN WORKOUT COURSEallows participants to choose their areas of study and through individualised attention from industry professionals we help you discover your hidden potential.

This course is for YOU! We offer a variety of classes within the course, and you choose the ones you are most interested in exploring and discovering over the 10-week duration of the course.

Students are encouraged to choose a major topic of study (2 hours per week) and then two minor ones (1 hour each per week). Our teachers work collaboratively to offer a broad yet linked curriculum.

To help you in your decision of which topics are best for you participants will ‘audition’ for a place in the course. This ‘audition’ for the teaching staff is not about being the best or being like someone else. It is all about you being you and showing us what you have so we can best assist in guiding you towards course topics to help you unlock and discover your true potential as an artist.

Acting for Theatre and Screen

Singing

Physical Theatre

Dance

Burlesque

Screen Writing

Cabaret

Film making

ACOPA also offers our students the opportunity to participate in Shows, Short Films, Theatrical Productions, Cabaret and Music Videos.

ACOPA classes are held at our venue Club Voltaire which can provide a full production experience for our students’ showcases and future productions.

Following completion of a course at ACOPA, we provide support to our students to navigate the complexities and challenges of our ever-changing industry.
