Physical Theatre - A part of our Workshop series with Ryan Darwin

This workshop covers Physical theatre basics specifically created for characters that are fantastical or do not have typical human traits (think orcs, elves, or creatures that move in the night.) Throughout this course we will find different ways to express that character/creature through movement and dance. Particularly, researching, experimenting, and finally, finding specific movement qualities that accurately physicalise that character/creature. Additionally, finding how they vocalise, the sound they make as they locomote around stage (do they shuffle, scratch, scamper etc) and how they ‘own’ the space.
